Why it's built this way

Words are taught in corpus-frequency order and scheduled by FSRS-7 (Free Spaced Repetition Scheduler), which targets your chosen retention rate. Review prompts ask you to produce the word from its meaning β€” retrieval practice transfers to real use. Personas are instructed to elicit self-correction (prompts) rather than silently recasting errors, and to weave your due words into conversation.

Placement test

About 8 quick rounds of 4 words. The test binary-searches the frequency list to find where your vocabulary runs out.
Only mark a word if you could actually explain or use it β€” guessing just inflates your placement with words you can't read.

Chat needs an API key β€” add one in . Keys are stored only in your browser.
